Discover our campaign
Our campaign began as an advertising course project at Senac Piracicaba, in the countryside of São Paulo – Brazil, with the goal of raising awareness about the improper disposal of waste at tourist attractions around the world.
Because every piece of packaging discarded, every cigarette butt thrown on the ground, every plastic bottle abandoned at a tourist site is a strike against our planet.
Every year, tons of garbage are produced at tourist sites around the world, damaging the natural beauty and history of these places.
The presence of litter not only negatively affects the visitor experience, but also causes significant environmental damage, harming fauna, flora and the quality of natural resources.
Change starts with small actions and every little gesture counts towards keeping our tourist sites litter-free and environmentally healthy.
Our campaign is a call to individual and collective responsibility. We can no longer ignore the devastating impact of our reckless consumption. We need to be the change we want to see in the world!
How you can help
When you visit a tourist site, always take a bag with you and keep your garbage in it until you find a garbage can to dispose of it properly.
It's not in every country and at every tourist site that there is a cleaning team ready to keep the place clean and tidy. In many places, it's the locals and natives who do the cleaning on a voluntary basis. So be aware, respect the tourist attractions you're visiting, take your garbage with you.
What are we actually proposing?
We don't want to change the whole world. We just want you, the tourist, to take care of the place you're visiting. Have you left your home to dirty someone else's?
Any garbage, such as packaging and food waste, can stay with you until you find a garbage can to dispose of it properly. Don't leave it in the wild. Keep the tourist site clean and beautiful.
And our proposal is to spread awareness through posters in hotels, hostels, inns and other types of accommodation so that people stop and reflect on their actions during their trip.
